After the stunningly successful launch of Night Tales last week, this week’s creative blog focuses on the pop up design and the production elements that helped tie the event together.
Night Tales is currently the talk of the town. As east London’s favourite celebration of gastronomy, music and bar culture, the series of events features some of the best street food vendors, independent drinks producers and international musical talent.
In partnership with Background Bars, The Halo Group’s creative concepts helped transform a 10,000 square foot car park into a vibrant winter wonderland setting which will play host to 7 weeks of events this festive season.
As guests entered the space, they walked through our feature archway, constructed from industrial mesh and up-lit in vivid red colour washes.
Our lighting team installed a mixture of coloured gels throughout the space that bathed this urban setting in a rich & warm glow adding atmosphere and ambience to proceedings.
In addition to the lighting, our art team incorporated a multitude of production features throughout the space, such as a range of bespoke signs complete with lighting detail.
Foliage was enhanced by fairy lights, vintage bird cages and lanterns throughout the venue, which gave the overall design a distinct winter wonderland aesthetic.
However, the focus of our design was our modular steel structure which took centre stage at Night Tales. Clad in beautiful waney edge boarding and draped in fairly lights, it formed a central hub at the event. Long banqueting tables underneath the structure provided seating and comfort for guests whilst the top tier featured a whisky bar.
Nestled discretely behind the structure, we created a series of bespoke chalets serving as private booths. This attention to detail is what sets Night Tales apart from many other pop-ups around the capital. Lovingly crafted over a week, these features really brought the space to life.
The Halo Group installed the food shack frontages which provided each vendor with a blank canvas to add their own character. These individually designed concessions really added an element originality.
The Night Tales’ launch night was a huge success. The following 7 weeks will host culinary delights, drinks, DJs and more but don’t take our word for it.
