Branded Activation

The Halo Group and CAKE recently designed and built a branded activation at this year’s V-Festival for Carling on both the Staffordshire & Chelmsford sites.

Cake enlisted the services of The Halo Group due to our specialist knowledge of temporary structures. Using our unique modular steel build system we were able to provide festival goers, Cake and the end client Carling with an exceptional end product.

The Brief

Our brief was to design and build a two- tier structure, which would provide festival goers with a real destination area at the event. The structure also needed to be a fully functional bar, dance arena and provide space for guests to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Another key requirement of the brief was to provide a framework that could support a 0.5 tonne LED screen across the fascia.

The Solution

To achieve the result, we built a raised platform from steel deck to provide the foundations before erecting a 5mx15m skeletal frame using our modular steel build system. The strength of the Halo system enabled us to easily install the heavy LED screen in line with the brief whilst a black stretch marquee courtesy of partners, Intent Marques provided protection from the elements and an improved aesthetic. A fully functional bar was then built on the lower level, with the top tier providing space for VIPs and a DJ booth. An extended garden area complete with low-level furniture provided the relaxation space required. Further branding was applied to this activation to create a cohesive and well-executed delivery. Additional features included a bespoke photo booth styled by The Halo Group production team.
