The Halo Group provided festival stage design services to BBC Music during the 2014 Glastonbury Festival. Set behind the world famous Pyramid, our bijou festival stage design punched well above it's weight. Designed in house, our installation really helped bring this hidden gem to life.
Our brief was to create a striking festival stage design for the broadcaster within an existing tepee style tent. The end product needed to really pop on camera as it would feature across the BBC's social media and online platforms. The client wanted the look and feel to mirror Glastonbury festivals bohemian vibe with a rustic aesthetic. A key consideration within the brief was to create a festival stage design with impact within a small enclosed space.
Fabricated over two days, The Halo Groups multi-award winning production team lovingly crafted the finished product on location behind the world famous pyramid stage. As with so many of our builds, at Glastonbury we placed great emphasis on using reclaimed and recycled materials. Our production team sourced mismatched windows and frames to create a striking backdrop. Dressed with live foliage, we backlit the panes through coloured jells to create the effect. The BBC Music stage quickly became one of the iconic images of the event.
