In 2015 The Halo Group won a contract to design and build a hotly anticipated bar and street food market entitled "The Magic Roundabout" on top of Old Street roundabout. The Halo Group set about transforming this iconic location through the creation of this installation.
Our brief was to create a unique identity for Burger Bear in the popular and thriving East London pop-up market place. With a nod to the retro architecture, we were tasked to bring a modern twist to the site through our creative production, bespoke structures, installations and art.
To achieve the look we designed and built an imposing main bar alongside the "Relax" bar, the Prawnography shack and various seating areas all spread across the site. Architectural features were used for inspiration and to accentuate the classic lines of the buildings whilst our chosen look and feel played off the urban setting, taking on a distinct industrial feel with scenic and street painting techniques mimicking metals, concrete, stone and other artwork.
