London agency Closer approached The Halo Group to create a pop-up restaurant design for the M Kitchen tour. The end client required a pop-up activation to promote the campaign's key messaging and to house the series of events.
This exciting pop-up restaurant design brief required us to source the locations before transforming each venue into a into a pop-up fine dining experience. A complete solution was required for the delivery including fitting utilities, prepping the spaces, installing all the production and dressing each venue with branding, decor features and furnishings.
To achieve the end result, our expert venue finding team sourced a selection of empty warehouses and retail units. In their natural form they were rough and ready and not at all on brand so we constructed free-standing walls and prepared them for the branding elements which saw large vinyl prints applied to each of the surfaces to create a white, crisp and exclusive restaurant setting. A fully fitted kitchen was then installed for the celebrity chefs to prepare the food which was later served to guests in attendance. Premium furniture and decor were used through out the space to create a chic dining experience in line with the brief. The activation was replicated at multiple locations across the UK including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds. The end result saw a robust ROI with the supermarket chain reporting excellent consumer & press reviews across each of the experiential activations.
