The Halo Live team have been kept busy this summer with “Tuborg Town” at Wireless, Calling Festival and soon the forthcoming Reading Festival.
MORE, the client’s creative connecting agency and London experiential agency BIGGER, approached us to work with them to remodel Tuborg Town for the 2014 festival season. Interesting structures are our forte and this was no exception. Starting off with a skeletal frame, we used our modular steel system to create the supporting structure.
Clad almost entirely in wood, this activation forms one of the main focal points at three festivals this summer. Our fantastic team of carpenters really had their work cut out with 100’s of individual boards painstakingly secured into place to create the rustic facia of the bar & DJ Booth.
Once complete the TUBORG logo was branded onto the wood panels with blow torches and a giant steel stencil. The finished result saw a double tier structure complete with viewing platform, DJ booth & bar area.
The Halo Group’s fabrication partners also helped to deliver this project, creating the large scale lettering that adorned the top of the bar area as well as manufacturing bespoke items like the over sized fridge door leading into a separate experiential area, hosting live music and other entertainment.
The Tuborg experience has been a huge success and has proved to be one of the most popular destination areas at each festival so far – as illustrated by the festival goers in the image below.
Having already got Wireless and Calling festivals under our belt, we are already looking forward to the next event. If you would like to come and experience Tuborg Town for yourself you can find us at Reading Festival 2014. Tickets on the official site are sold out but if you are lucky you may be able to grab yours on the festivals resale site here: bit.ly/1mw2YnO
We hope to see you at the bar. Mines a Tuborg, naturally.
