The Halo Group provided event structure hire services to TRO who were representing Mini at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The agency used our products and services to provide technical solutions to achieve the campaign's creative, which celebrated 60 years of Mini.
Lead agency on the campaign TRO approached The Halo Group to provide a range of services to help achieve the creative. Our event structure hire products represented the ideal solution. Our brief was to create a temporary structure frame with a mezzanine viewing platform on the top deck. The solution needed to be easy to clad with a range of scenic finishes and needed to be able to support the weight of both the heavy cladding finishes which included brickwork, glass panelling and concrete effects as well as supporting a high number of attendees at the event.
To achieve the end result, we set about designing a 10mx20m bespoke structure which featured a ground floor and 1st floor mezzanine level using our unique modular steel build system. Our system is unique and can be adapted to most footprints, designs and dimensions so it was easy to quickly tailor the frame to this projects creative. We created a partially covered viewing platform, with a solid roof section running 15m along the mezzanine level leaving a 5mx10m open air terrace on the upper floor. Here, we waterproofed the deck and ran guttering around the handrail to mitigate against bad weather. The clients production team were then able to come in and clad and finish the structure. The Halo Group is highly experienced when working with other suppliers. We offer a broad range of event structure hire products and services which are easy for 3rd parties to use and we supply a full set of technical drawings including structural calculations, fixing points and dimensions to our all dry hire clients. Working on the mini project was a privilege, and following a hugely successful campaign we hope this will be the first of many more event structure hire projects for Mini to come.
