Brixton Jamm

Permanent Structures

Brixton Jamm is an iconic London institution and the owners were looking to redesign the venue ahead of its re-launch. The Halo Group was appointed as principal designer on the project in 2016.

The Brief

Our client’s brief was to provide a range of restaurant bar design services in a project which would see the complete renovation of the venue including a new bar, back bar, seating and the creation of a brand new identity for the club. As with so many iconic venues, time always takes its toll eventually. This was very much the case with Brixton Jamm, so the owners decided it was time for a facelift.

The Solution

The Halo Group fitted the walls with wooden paneling whilst distressed wall paper, aged plaster effects, picture frames and mirrors added further character and detail. Ox-Blood leatherette furnishings were installed in the seating areas whilst the ceiling of the venue boasted a flaked silver leaf finish. The main bar’s ceramic tile design was complemented by further earthy tones throughout the space. For the back bar wall, we built a bespoke metal framed shelving unit which included LED lighting, whilst mercury mirrored glass was set into the centre. Using the venue’s new logo, The Halo Group installed a branded art piece, which was aged with crackle effect and varnish to complete the overall restaurant bar design.
